Pregnant or not, very confused?

Please tell me what you think about this. I had unprotected with my husband a few times the first being on 6/19. My period was supposed to start on 7/9 i am not sure if it has began early or whats going on. For two days in a row when i went to the restroom and wiped there was pinkish colored blood on the toilet paper that was very very faint. There was no discharge. On the third day i started bleeding a little heavier clotting and all. My period is never early.....and should be starting on the 9th. I think it is a period but cant be sure because they are normally really heavy and come like clockwork. Should i take a test or just ume that it is my period. If it is necessary to take a test when should i do so. And has this ever happened to anyone who found out that they were pregnant. Any advice is appreciated!
