What would be the best resume format for my situation?

I am graduating from college this semester, but I am also a career changer. I am not sure how to address both on a resume. I have had a number of responses on Job sites from recruiters trying to place me in positions related to my prior experience, but I am seeking jobs related to my current education. Is there a format that I should be using to help with this issue?
