If the French are militarily weak, why do they have the 3rd Largest Stockpile of Nuclear Weapons on Earth?

Because if you take away frances nuclear weapons they are really just another country and wouldent be cled as a great power, nuclear weapons are the only reason France is cled as a great power, there military is really useless e.g Vietnam and WW2
