I am rebuilding a Ford 460 V8 to put in my 1/2 ton. What can i do to get EXTREME performance out of it?

I plan on shaving the heads and deck, as well as getting it balanced. I already have a four barrel edelbrock carb and im getting a high rise intake and an oversized RV cam. Its got duel gl packs with it. I just want to suck every drop of hp out of it as i can without blowing it up when i get on it.
