Gastric Byp for Paraplegics? Good or bad idea?

I know with typical gastric byp surgery - whether it be lap band or otherwise - there are many things you cannot do after the surgery - ie) no heavy lifting, no driving etc and usually has a recovery period of 3 weeks. For someone who is paraplegic how drastically would this change the recovery period. Even little things such as "no heavy lifting" would that include someone who is paraplegic transferring to and from their wheelchair? I'm not sure if anyone is in this situation or knows anyone that is, but any information would be great.
